Located in Red Hill (not surprisingly, given its name!), Butterfly Red Hill is a charming, rustic wedding venue. It has an out-there, remote feeling, as though the rest of the world is far away even though it’s just an hour outside of the big city. Perfect for an intimate wedding!
Inside and outside, there’s a definite rustic vibe. Nature is a strong theme throughout the venue, with expansive views, light forest landscape, and a homely but perfectly-kitted out farm house.
Lots of natural wood and accessories like an old tractor and rusted (but stylish) old vehicles add a real country vibe.
When you book a wedding here, you’ve got the entire amazing venue to yourself for the full day. One wedding per day makes sure your special day is all yours, and the staff are there to wait on you hand and foot.
And they’re totally open to having kids and pets at events (well supervised, of course). If your beloved pets can’t be left at home but they’re not part of the ceremony, they can arrange for pet sitting facilities too.

Butterfly Red Hill doesn’t include catering. They advertise themselves as a blank canvas, leaving you free to choose the catering company and bar staff you want to make your day perfect.
However, they do have an extensive list of local caterers and bar staff, and are more than happy to work with you to organise your ideal food and drink situation. Take note that they keep no alcohol on the premises at present - it’s a BYO kind of thing, although they’re in the process of creating the new BUTTERFLY BAR.
Take note that you can also bring your own confetti, bubbles, or rose petals as long as they’re biodegradable. Take care of these beautiful grounds!
Wedding Planning
One of the best things about Butterfly Red Hill is their willingness to work with you to plan your wedding. Their blank canvas is the perfect foundation for the day of your dreams, and their network of wedding planners, florists, photographers, musicians, caterers, and stylists is all you need to find the right people to work with.

Capacity & Accommodation Options
Butterfly Red Hill can handle events with up to 150 guests. They do state that capacity depends on the government restrictions and guidelines at the time, so that could change between when you book and when your wedding happens (although it’s unlikely).
They have onsite parking for up to 40 cars. If you’d prefer, you can arrange for the guests to park elsewhere and get a local shuttle service to bring them in. The owners can recommend shuttle services!
A complimentary 2-night stay at the onsite Farm House is included for the bridal couple, with the option to include the bridal party (up to 10 people). Some packages include the use of their onsite caravans if other guests wish to stay on the premises.
Otherwise, they’re happy to recommend excellent accommodation options in the near vicinity for your guests if they’re coming from afar.
