Melbourne Wedding Photographer
Timeless Documentary Wedding Photography
Natural, Documentary-Style Wedding Photography
I’m Al, a Melbourne wedding photographer with close to twenty years of experience. I’ve documented more than 1,000 weddings, from intimate elopements by the coast to vibrant multi-day weddings rooted in Indian, Chinese, and Jewish traditions.
My particularly natural style of wedding photography is often described as reportage, documentary and photojournalism - ultimately I work in a candid, unobtrusive manner that captures the day as it unfolds, without staged poses or endless group shots.
“Your documentary style approach was just what we wanted, they are wonderful memories of a fabulous day! We’re so in love with the photos captured of our wedding.
Not to mention you were super easy going and a joy to work with too.
Thank you so much!”
-Chloe & Tom
“You have a gift and we are so grateful that you shared it with us. You have captured the spirit of the day in a way that's even better and more realistic than a video.
We don’t know how to express our complete joy and amazement at the beauty of these photographs”
-Sarah & Nicolas
Wedding photography that tells a story solely through pictures. My discreet style helps me create an incredibly sincere and timeless record of weddings and events…
While I’ll still take the occasional family portrait, most of the day is spent documenting real moments between friends and loved ones. Weddings are full of fleeting, meaningful scenes that reveal the true spirit of the day.
This hands-off approach allows everyone to relax and forget the camera is even there.
If you're looking for a natural, documentary-style Melbourne wedding photographer, anywhere across Victoria or Australia, I’d love to hear from you.
